Come and learn how to knit with Kate & Ruth in this two part class. We are two very enthusiastic and experienced knitters and have a real passion for sharing the joy of those repeated loops and stitches. We will keep classes small so you will get plenty of support and time to ask all the questions, this course is suitable for absolute beginners.
We will be knitting a simple cowl, in the round. (Using circular needles.) You'll learn how to:
*Cast on (long tail cast on)
*Join to work in the round
*Knit
*Purl
*How to follow a pattern
****If you would like to try we will also show you simple lace in the second week***
*Cast off.
All equipment will be provided; 1 skein of West Yorkshire Spinners Shetland Croft Aran, Hiya Hiya Bamboo circular needles, information booklet and pattern. Tea, coffee and plenty of encouragement!
