Where are you Yarns from?

My aim is to sell locally sourced, British wool and yarn. Currently, the majority of my stock have been sourced from Lancashire and Yorkshire.

I require more yarn than you have in stock on your website

Why does my yarn have a knot in it?

The industry standard is that up to three knots per 100g skein is acceptable - I will not accept returns because a skein has one knot. Please let me know if a skein has more than one knot.


Whats your return policy?

Northern Yarn will accept returns and issue full refunds for orders that are returned in their original state and in tact. Items must be returned within 7 days of receipt of goods, please let me know in writing that this is your plan. Northern Yarn will refund original postage but customers must pay for return postage, unless item is faulty or incorrect. kate@northernyarn.co.uk


Will import duties and tax be applied to my order?

Import duties and taxes: Outside of the UK there may be Import Duties and Taxes applied to purchases once delivery has reached its destination. Northern Yarn has no control over these charges. Customers must also check the laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined.


Are the pictures accurate representations of the yarn colours?


I will try to take photographs of my yarn in good light to show it's true colour but if you are unhappy with the yarn, please return to me within 7 days of receipt of your purchase, in it's original condition. I will refund original postage paid but the customer covers the return postage.


Will all dye lots be the same?

I will supply all of the yarns from the same dye lot. If I can't fulfill an order with the same dye lot I will let you know.
