Ruth is a fully traceable, worsted spun 4 ply, made from the fleeces of sheep that graze on a farm up in Over Wyresdale, at the edge of the Trough of Bowland. Dusty’s family have farmed here for generations; living, working and breathing the landscape and now using regenerative farming methods to boost soil health, helping the environment and their flock. We hand picked the best fleeces while swallows dived in and out of the barn, it felt like an ancient process and I loved every grounding minute. Named for my good friend and colleague Ruth Matthews, who has worked alongside me for over 5 years now. Just like this yarn she is strong, beautiful and makes the best jumpers!

Beautiful British wool at its best - 100% Lancastrian wool, spun in Yorkshire. No air miles - this wool has been grown, scoured and spun within 50 miles of source. We love that our yarns can't be produced on demand - we wait for the sheep to be sheared and use the best fleeces, nothing is rushed.
